Negotiations for the 2020-2021 school year have again begun.  Negotiations are
being conducted over TEAMs. We had another session of Negotiations this past
Friday February 5, 2021. We were able to tentatively agree on Article 8, Article
13 and Article 14. The Union won the PERB case regarding the Organizing of
the Classified Substitutes. We will have a lot of TA's to agree upon.

16 - GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
17 - NO-STRIKE CLAUSE
19 - ILLNESS AND INJURY
27 - WORKERS' COMPENSATION
33 - DUES DEDUCTION
35 - BULLETIN BOARD AND MAIL SERVICES
36 - CLOTHING
37 - MILEAGE ALLOWANCE

Wednesday March 31, 2021 -
Discussion was held on several Articles
A tentative agreement was agreed to on Article 43 - Union Rights

Tuesday April 20, 2021

  1. There was discussion on Article 12 -  Hours of Work

  2. There was discussion on Article 15 - Suspension/Discharge Cases

  3. There was discussion on Article 21 - Bereavement and Imminent Death Leave

  4. There was discussion in Article 38 - Attendance at Conferences

  5. We have an MOU on Article 40 - Union Security (Agency Shop)

  6.  The District presented  a HERE - O Bonus to us, we countered their proposal. 

 Negotiations Meeting 4/29/2021

Discussion was held on several Articles. A tentative agreement (TA) was agreed upon for Article 12 - Hours of Work. We had discussion on Article 15 - Suspension/Discharge Cases. Discussion on new Article 47 - District Cameras and Time Clocks. The District also proffered a counter Bonus offer, we again asked to bring back another counter offer. 

Next Negotiations Meeting 5/18/2021
Your Negotiations Committee was again in negotiations with the District yesterday Wednesday 5/12/2021. We are getting close to finishing up our negotiations for this year. 
We proffered the USW Counter offer on the bonus and the District countered again with their offer. We will be back again with another counter proposal at our next meeting. 
We are not there yet Steelworkers! Please be patient as we work through the details. 
We are also going through tough discussions with Article 47 Cameras/Time Clocks as well as Article 15 Suspension and Demotion.
