On Wednesday April 27, 2022 The Women of Steel Committee presented a $5000.00 check to the Ronald McDonald House for sponsorship of a room at the Ronald McDonald House.
The WOS have been fundraising for the past five years. The Committee was challanged by former President Jim Williams to fundraise and sponsor a room when he became President five years ago. The Committe gladly accepted the challange.
The tour of the house was a touching time. We saw other rooms that had other sponsors. All the donated furniture at the house was donated by Ashley Furniture. Their kitchen area had an entire wall of refrigeration units where donated food was available to the guests. There was a huge pantry room where there were stacks of food items, blankets and toys.
